New Britain, CT
Members:  192 CANimaniacs

This meetup group is for all of you with felt pouches of dice. This is for all of you who still see the world in 8 bits. This is for anyone who has not sold back a math textbook because you haven't finished all of the problems yet. For everyone who has an original x-wing still in the package, this group is yours. If you've referred to your friends as either a "nerf-herder" or "rouge-2," welcome aboard. Anyone who laughs every time they think about ET for 2600, we know you. If you understand how the TI-89 destroys the TI-91 hands down, you are no longer alone. We are you. This group reflects us. It's not the prettiest thing on the internet, and it can't play basketball very well, but it is extraordinarily good at math.

We are C.A.N. We sat together at the pub one night and argued about top ten lists. Horror movies, King books, super heroes, bands, magic cards, and more. On the way home that night I was mad that we didn't get to debate the top ten mathematical theories. We don't think we are an authority about any of these things, but having that beer table forum made me feel more a part of a group than anything I could remember doing in the past (besides being a math Olympiad in 7 th grade). What if this forum reached the infinite masses of the internet? What if we could include every gamer in the world to debate the things we love? What if everything that made us feel different and depressed our entire lives was used to finally create acceptance on a mass level? The answer is C.A.N. The power is now in our hands. The revolution has begun. Roll the dice young Jedis, then tell us all about it. {join}
