During her last five months here with us, Jada has watched countless other dogs get adopted or be reunited with there owners and has wondered when it would be her time to find a home to call her own. Hopefully December will be Jada's month. We here at the facility are hoping to find Jada a wonderful home for the holidays. Not only will this be an amazing gift to a beautiful dog with a lot of love to share, but she will be a great gift/companion to whomever adopts her. {bio}

NEKO: is a very large one and a half year old Purebred, female Rottweiler.

Update from Animal Control.... NEKO: is a very large one and a half year old Purebred, female Rottweiler. Neko is not spayed but was just dewormed and vaccinated against rabies. There are many positives to adopting this beautiful dog, such as the fact that she is house broken, knows her basic commands such as sit, stay, and shake, as well as being a very sweet girl once she warms up to you but on the down side, she is VERY protective and territorial.
Officer Dos Santos has taken a keen interest in this beautiful dog and has been monitoring her behaviors over the past week. While Neko has been with us, we have noticed that Neko does not do well with other dogs or cats. She is also a tad protective when someone comes to the door and will need to be broken of her aggressive behavior.
We are asking only for parties with Rottweiler or large dog experience to apply for this dog as she will be a lot to handle. If interested please give us a call to set up a meeting. {bio}

Frank: very large male cat. Not neutered. Very affectionate once he warms up to you. Frank had a rough start to life and we are looking to place him in a safe home where he will be an only pet and loved unconditionally.

Stormy Irene, a 2-year-old female cat is lost. Last seem Saturday August 21 on Beechwood Ave in Torrington, CT. Animal control in Torrington is in need of blankets (without stuffing), bed sheets, towels and cat food for the animals because of the cold weather. Please donate what you can to this good cause.
Also, if you can spare the cash or you are good at fundraising... a Kuranda bed given to Animal Control would be a wonderful gift to help better provide comfort for their rescued dogs. The bed is completely chew-proof, provides even support and soft (off the floor) comfort. Beds are discounted at 52.00 on the Kuranda website and approved by the shelter.
