It's Personal!
At the Torrington Animal Control
It is the personal touch that makes the Torrington Animal Control one of the most outstanding animal resources in the NW area! Animals coming into the control are well cared for, nursed back to good health and given the kind of love and attention that repairs misfortune and domestic temperament ~ preparing these animals for adoption.
The staff also takes great care in the placement of animals as well. It is a talent acquired from experience that makes them so good at making these matches. You have to be able to read the needs and abilities of the family as well as knowing the temperament and special needs of the animals they offer to suggest good matches.
Fortunately, the staff does both these things exceptionally well. And, I have often heard from the readers of this website (Torrington.INFO) that the match was perfect for them and they couldn't have asked for a better pet to love.
Torrington owes a special thanks to Animal Control Officer, Caitlin Nield, and Assistant Control Officer, Debbie Gath and all the folks that assist their efforts. Without their dedication so many animals wouldn't have found the appreciation their devotion and unconditional love deserves!

Cat Adoption Alert:
The Torrington Animal Control is over capacity with cats! If you know anyone in need of a cat or any shelters that would be willing to take some cats please send them their way! All of the cats are great and love to be picked up and be around people! They have cats of all ages and colors. If you want to adopt a cat please call and set up a time to come in and see them.
The adoption fee is only five dollars if they are fixed and fifty if they are not which includes a voucher to get them fixed.
